Barnacles of Aging - Causes, Symptoms & Treatment



Barnacles of Aging are harmless spots and skin growth that appear during the adult life. The medical terminology designates this as Seborrheic keratoses. It is so-called because of its connection with aging. Most women hate the appearance of this skin growth and can be concerned. Barnacles of Aging has varying degrees of pigmentation. Epidermiale growth factors play a role in the development of this skin growth, which develop from the strong spreading of the epidermialen cells. Gradually, they thicken and take on a rough, wart-like surface. They slowly darken and may turn black. These color changes are harmless.

  • Another main cause of Seborrheic Keratoses is a family history of barnacles of aging.
  • Person's exposed to lot of Ultra Violet Radiations , develop barnacles of aging very easily.
  • They are caused by abnormal increase of melanin in the epidermal layers of the skin.
  • Sometimes seborrheic keratoses may erupt during pregnancy, following estrogen therapy, or in association with other medical problems .
  • Seborrheic keratoses begin as slightly raised, light brown spots. Gradually they thicken and take on a rough, wartlike surface. They slowly darken and may turn black. These color changes are harmless.

Signs and Symptoms of Barnacles of Aging

Sign and symptoms may include the following :

  • Tenderness.
  • Swelling.
  • Blurred vision.
  • Wrinkles.
  • Feeling of discomfort.
  • Pain .

Treatment for Barnacles of Aging

Liquid Nitrogen therapy or Cryogenic Treatment can be used to treat Barnacles og Aging and freeze them. There is no need to treat seborrheic keratoses. The only reason to treat them is because they are ugly or getting caught on your clothing.

Treatment may include:

  • It is a cold liquefied gas that is sprayed on the skin with a spray gun. The treatment is repeated three times.
  • The unwanted growth of skin are removed by "curetting," or scraping them from the surface of the skin. To numb the affected area, an injection or spray is first used. No stitches are necessary, and bleeding is very limited.
  • It is another effective method used for the treatment of barnacles of aging. The growth is first numbed, then burned using an electric current, and scraped off.
